Just a few weeks after winning two Best-Of-Show awards at ISE 2016, wePresent has announced our new partnership with Mizzen Marketing, which effectively increases our salesforce in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The deal allows us to further our mission of making digital collaboration and wireless presentation a standard in the Central United States, improving classrooms and meeting rooms throughout.
I don't know a lot of people who could pull a lot of good feelings out of the car wreck that was 2016, but we've never been about looking back here at wePresent. We have, I suppose, on occasion taken a look behind us, to assess what's in the rear-view mirror, but we've always had our eyes firmly on the future. It's with that spirit (mostly resolutely looking ahead with occasional glances behind us to ascertain our path) that I bring you the latest edition of our quarterly Wireless World News, always delivered enthusiastically, but never without a dollop of side-eyed glee.
Oh, how quickly the world moves. It seems like just yesterday we were all exploring iOS 9 and MacOS Yosemite or El Capitan, but as always, a new keynote speech has brought new wonders into the Apple world. iOS 10 released on September 23rd, just 3 days after MacOS Sierra was give to the world, and as always, wePresent is on top of all the changes made to Apple's AirPlay protocol.
wePresent, producer of award winning wireless collaboration solutions, has expanded their global footprint with the grand opening of their new office located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. wePresent employees began officially working at the new offices on September 9th, after a grand opening ceremony that included a golf tournament, dinner, and a presentation for over 60 partners.
Here at wePresent, we've had a lot of reasons to celebrate this year: 8 awards on the American and European trade show circuits, the addition of two new products (the education-focused WiPG-1600, and the multipurpose SharePod), and the upcoming expansion of our European office, to name a few. Now we're adding yet another one: a partnership with Croma Digital to distribute wePresent solutions in Mexico.
Summer has been a busy month for your favorite wireless presentation gateway, but we've managed to make some splashes here and there. We've been up to a lot after InfoComm and ISTE, including a golf tournament in Europe, a partner school being featured at Model Schools out in Orlando, and a couple more Best-Of-Show awards coming out of trade show season.
Veni, Vidi, Vegas...
InfoComm 2016, the biggest AV show in North America, has come and gone. Of course, wePresent was in attendance, bringing the best in interactive wireless presentation to an incredibly receptive crowd. It wasn't just our US office either: wePresent representatives from Europe, South Africa, and Asia also joined the fray, helping us spread the word about wireless presentation and the future of BYOD. We showed everything we have on the market currently, and previewed some of the tricks up our sleeves for the eager awaiting masses, and the whole time, never forgot to have a bucketload of fun.
While InfoComm is our biggest event of the year, by far (and just around the corner to boot!), wePresent makes an effort to get out there and educate the world on the wonders of wireless presentation on a daily basis. Finding new ways to go out into the world and tell the good word about cross-platform compatibility is a bit of a passion for us, and recently, our Europe office declared this past May 25th to be the official "wePresent Demo Day". Taking place in Nieuwegein, Netherlands, Demo Day was a chance to get the wePresent in front of current and future users of the hardware, ensuring they were truly getting use of the wePresent's full potential.
The reality of today's classroom is that, in many ways, it can be far ahead of the modern corporate meeting room. Classroom technology has grown in leaps and bounds in the last decade or so as the concept of active learning spaces has taken hold. As a result, many classrooms already contain pieces of collaboration hardware like SMART boards, touchscreen displays, and similar teaching gear with any level of interactivity, which means that when it comes to a BYOD-capable wireless presentation gateway to take your lesson straight to your student's own devices, sometimes you don't need a full-featured piece of hardware. When your annotation is being done by a SMART board, your video streaming is being done from a laptop, and your WiFi signal is coming from an already-present access point, you need something that does only what wePresent does best: bringing your presentation out of the realm of a simple lecture, and turning it into a collaborative lesson involving everyone in your classroom.
