How WePresent's WiPG Device Works with SMART Boards

Written by Steven Faught | Find me on:

So you’ve got that spanking new SMART board in the office and you’re up for the end-of-month report.

How do you deliver your presentation in style?

Okay, you have to calm down and get a nice cup of coffee.

Then go to your favorite IT guy and offer him the nice cup of coffee. You will probably need him to access and test out the SMART board before the presentation.

The great news is wePresent’s WiPG Device, the WiPG-1500 and WiPG-2000 has a built in interactive whiteboard (IWB) bridge and that lets you easily connect to your interactive or touchscreen board and present in 1080p.

As soon as you plug it in, you will have instant control of the cursor on the SMART board even before connecting your tablet or laptop to it. Talk about plug n’play!

First thing you need to do is to calibrate the screen. The WiPG 1500 and WiPG 2000 comes with a calibration software. It will ask you to tap on the 4 corners of the screen. This also serves as a stretching exercise to get you warmed up.

Connecting to the WiPG device is easy. All you need to do is connect to the Wi-Fi signal the WiPG is broadcasting and punch in the 4 digit code you see on the screen. The WiPG can connect up to 64 devices and can display up to 4 screens at a time. So whether you’re presenting alone or with a group, you won’t have to go through the trouble of connecting / disconnecting each device to display. There won’t be any wires too. The WiPG wireless devices are cross-platform ready so connecting via tablet or laptop will just take you a few seconds. Your IT guy can take a break from the antacids. You will be able to control each device displayed through your SMART board.

The WiPG 1500 and WiPG 2000 has a whiteboard / blackboard feature that lets you write (or draw) on the screen. This calls for Pictionary! Another special feature is that it will let you annotate on your screen as you go through your presentation.

If you are the visual learner type and has to see it being done, you can check out our Video Tutorials page here If you are still having trouble with the WiPG device, feel free to drop us a message here or you may also request for a demo here.
